Paper Adventures Team Blog Hop – Non-Traditional Christmas

Hello, happy Friday to you! Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog as you hop through the latest posts from the Paper Adventures team. This blog hop theme is non-traditional Christmas, and I’m lucky last tonight so I know you’ve already seen some clever, crafty and creative projects.

Originally, I thought of passing on this blog hop – I’ve been very unwell for a week now, but at crunch time I decided I was up to the task and had a flash of inspiration for my card.

I love the Santa’s Sleigh stamp set and coordinating framelits, and was espcially pleased when they carried over to the current Annual Catalogue. So far looking pretty traditional, huh? But this set was just my starting point.

The next set I chose, One Wild Ride, brings in my non-traditional element.

My hubby loves his Harley so I thought I would make a motorcycle inspired Christmas card. Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Soft Suede colour palette and with some Naturals White card stock.

To add to the grungy feel of the card, I sponged around my sleigh and tree. And I found some textured card stock in my stash!

My sentiment came from two retired sets, Rev Up the Fun and Time of Year.

Thanks again for stopping by! Have you started your Christmas organisation for this year? Do you like traditional or mixing-it-up with on-trend colours.

Next will take you back to the start of our hop 🙂

  2. This is brilliant, Narelle! Don’t you love it when inspiration strikes like that? Who would think that those two stamp sets would go so well together?? I’m glad that even after a week of sickness you could join in with us, and what a card you came up with!

  3. Fantastic Narelle…..perfect card for the motorbike lovers amongst us …..(Amy). Great combination and put a big smile on my face.
