Are you superstitious? If so, beware there is a black cat about to cross your path…
Hello! I hope you’ve had a fabulous, freaky Friday the 13th! Are all these Fridays called Black Friday? I’m not sure from the little I’ve read on that ever reliable source of information called Google…
Welcome to the April blog hop for the Paper Adventures team, with the theme of ‘Black’ in honour of today’s date. My original thought was to try the black ice technique, but I was thinking of something to make for my daughter’s class and decided on a black cat bookmark.
I was really happy with how my cloudy moons turned out 😀 I think the two stamps from the Eclectic Expressions stamp set worked so well!
I stamped the circle shape in Smoky Slate on light blue cardstock (not sure of this one’s name as it is long retired), and then it fit perfectly inside the one inch circle punch – win!
The cloud was stamped in whisper white using my Stamparatus. How easy is it to mass produce stamped products with this amazing tool?! I stamped the two images straight on to the bookmark and then stamped the left cloud again after I adhered the moon. (My first attempt at only stamping the cloud over the moon left an un-inked space, hence the double stamp.)
I blinged up one of the bookmarks – this one went to the teacher. The mass produced version is for the students.
Have you ever seen just a cat’s eyes glowing at you in the night? Black rhinestones were just the right embellishment!
I hope you have a great weekend. Term 1 finished for us today so we will be having a quiet weekend while hubby works night shift and enjoying some activities next week.
Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog. Narelle 🙂
Next takes you back to the start of our blog hop, where you can see the spooky creations from Coriana.

They are awesome Narelle! I instantly thought of black cats too but wasn’t sure how I was going to bring them to light. I also have fallen in love with the moon and clouds. I’m sure the class & teacher will love them

These are so cute!! I always thought that circle looked just like a moon, and especially so the way you have used it. Love these, bookmarks are a great idea for a class treat.
