Hello! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas celebration and have something fun planned to see in the new year. Are you like me, and have lost track of which day of the week it is? This blog hop helped to get me straight that it’s Friday π
Thanks for visiting my blog as part of this month’s Paper Adventures Team Blog Hop. This month our theme is All That Sparkles. While the obvious choice would be to use glimmer paper, I’ve made my card sparkle with some sequins and foil card stock.
I confess to not getting all my Christmas cards sent out this year, so I’ve decided to make some Happy New Year cards. I was very happy to have Coastal Cabana return this year, it’s such a pretty colour!
I’ve used some retired Eastern Elegance DSP and the Cheers to the Year stamp set – a great set that covers a number of special occasions.
I forgot to get a picture, but do you cut out shapes from your foil mat layer? It seems such a waste to have most of the foil hidden, so why not hide a few holes?? π And I think using dry embossing like I have on the Crushed Curry flag always adds a lovely finishing touch to a card.
These cards are ready to go in the post! Happy New Year!!
I’m last in line for the blog hop, so clicking next will take you to the start where you can see Kelly’s beautiful creation.
Thank you for visiting. I hope 2019 is great year for you!

Gorgeous card Narelle. I wish they never retired any DSP – I love the Eastern Elegance colours and patterns – it’s very opulent! I still have a few scraps that I’m hoarding in my stash. Thank you for being a regular part of the 2018 Paper Adventures team hop! Kelly x
