Hello, I’m enjoying another Monday evening of crafting to create a card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I’ve also decided to join in the Paper Players current challenge. What better way to be inspired than with a pretty colour selection and this lovely CAS sketch.
My card is a single layer creation – a rare format for me! But I think it’s a great way to showcase this layout. My butterflies are from the new Butterfly Gala stamp set from Stampin’ Up! (R). I love the coordinating punch which cuts out both sized butterflies.
I chose grey as my extra colour, I stamped the speckles from the Timeless Textures stamp set and the sentiment is from the butterfly set.
Another new technique for me is the sentiment on a white layer on a white card. I usually have to add in a coordinating colour layer but I love how it turned out. Stitched shape framelits are a crafting essential! As is Wink of Stella, to add some sparkle!
How are you inspired to create? What are your crafting essentials?
Thank you for visiting my blog 😀
