Paper Adventures Team Blog Hop – Wheels

Hello and happy Friday to you. Welcome to the Paper Adventures team blog hop for March. Our theme for this month is ‘Wheels’. Thanks for rolling over from Siobhan’s blog 😉

I haven’t had as much craft time this week as I’d hoped so I’m sharing with you some cards I made a while ago.

First up, are two cards I made using the Bike Ride stamp set and coordinating framelits. I borrowed this bundle from my mum’s extensive collection – it was sitting there unused so I decided it was time to get it inky!

This card features Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo and Champagne Foil. I was pleased with how this card turned out as inspiration struck without any Pinterest prompting! 😀

For both cards, I used Basic Gray for the tires as I find black can sometimes be too dark for the card.

Card #2 uses Pacific Point and Granny Apple Green because the birthday girl loves blue and green, as well as Gold Foil and Green Glimmer Paper.

Presents for both of the birthday girls were books so I loved including that feature on the bikes.

My next creations used the Grown with Love stamp set and matching framelits. I cased my design from the image below. When I went searching to find the creator I discovered it’s a Stampin’ Up! (R) original! You can find it on page 22 of the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue.

I made these cards to go with class gifts for the teacher and education assistant of my son’s kindy class. All the mums loved the wagon!

The first card has a Garden Green mat.

This card uses Real Red.

Now, it’s time to roll on to see what Lisa has created.

I hope you have some lovely plans for your weekend, maybe even some crafting time.

Have you got a stamp set waiting to get inky? Do you prefer grey or black for your cards?

Thanks for visiting!

  1. These are wheely wonderful! I do love that bike, you’ve inspired me to get it out for a play again. The little foil elements on the first one are such a lovely touch. That wagon is so cute, no wonder it was admired by all. And I’m so glad someone else was feeling punny 😉

  2. 3 amazing cards! I admire the middle one every time I walk past it in the hallway – the colours just pop! I love the books in the bike set. I often use them without the bike! I should get the bike inky again soon too! Thanks for the inspiration! Kelly x

  4. Great cards and I especially like the cart and the use of different colour combinations to mix it up. We all need reminders to use washi tape, it looks so good on your cards-need to get mine out!

  5. Always enjoy your cards and the colours you choose Narelle. My fave is the first card…I’m just starting to enjoy playing with that colour combo….melon mambo and flirty flamingo ( never a favourite). You’ve shown how beautifully it works together. Thank you!

  6. Fabulous cards, Narelle but my favourite is the blue and green bike. I love the colour combo and touches of gold foil you added to the bike and every girl loves bling, lol!
