Hello and welcome! Today’s blog hop was organised by my friend, and amazing papercrafter, Kelly to celebrate her birthday.
Happy, happy birthday to you, Kelly!
Last year was the inaugural Stamping Friends Birthday Blog Hop – so many of Kelly’s friends wanted to join there were two hops! Group A starts here. Group B starts here. And I think the birthday blog hop trend started here when we had a Paper Adventures team hop on Kelly’s birthday in 2017.
Whether you’re starting here or arrived from seeing Rochelle‘s beautiful project you are in for a treat today! Kelly and 23 talented stamping friends have created birthday themed projects just for this hop.
In past years, I’ve shared the card I made for Kelly which meant she saw it on my blog before I gave it to her (2017, 2018). This year I’m not sharing Kelly’s card until after she’s received it (stay tuned for that post…)
So today I’m sharing a masculine birthday card with you. It’s my dad’s birthday this month and amazingly I’ve finished his card earlier than the night before his special day!
This card is a double fold card. My inspiration came from two Paper Adventures team members. Lovely Anne CASEd her card from here. Gorgeous Joanne CASEd Anne’s card and now I’ve CASEd them both 😀
I’ve used Night of Navy, Tranquil Tide and Very Vanilla, with Copper foil. My stamp set, framelits and DSP (True Gentleman) are retired products. (Some stamp sets I just can’t part with and I need to make more cards to use my DSP stash!) I love the Celebration Time bundle – so many great images and shapes for birthday cards. (The framelits are 40% off on the clearance rack at the moment 😉 )
Like all good fancy fold cards this one folds flat for posting. And I even decorated the inside!
Next in the hop is the talented Catherine Creer, aka Creative Cat.
Enjoy your time hopping!
Happy birthday to Kelly. And my dad.
Thanks for visiting!
