Paper Adventures Team Blog Hop – Colour Combination

Hello and happy Friday! Or is it…? Just kidding, it’s Friday 😀 I don’t know about you though, but with spending all day every day at home I keep losing track!

Welcome to the Paper Adventures team blog hop for April. I’m glad you’ve found your way here from seeing Anne’s lovely cards on Facebook. And thank you to Jenny Hayward for being our guest designer this month!

We have a super fun colour combination theme this month – Kelly’s inspiration came from a packet of new pegs!

Getting started proved a bit challenging for me as I only have card stock and blends in Pretty Peacock and everything else in Melon Mambo. (I think I have some gaps to fill in my craft supplies!) So my projects today are just about all made with card stock and die cuts.

These cards were the first idea I had and my daughter picked the sentiment because she wants to send them to her Granny and Nanny. (I miss them too!) No stamping at all here!

I’ve seen some really lovely cards in the last few days that featured the tri panel front so they inspired my next two cards. A little bit of Melon Mambo ink here.

My last card came about because I wanted to use the tin tile embossing folder. This one is sentiment free so I can use it any time I need a card in a hurry!

Next stop after me takes you back to the start to Kelly’s stunning colour combination creation.

Have you got any gaps in your craft supplies?

Do you like making ink free cards?

Thanks for visiting!

  1. There’s always gaps in a craft supply – which makes it easy to justify the next order 😛 Love these cards and the stamping free techniques. The doilies really work well and show off the colours! And you know I love a sentiment free card! Kelly x
