Spring has sprung* for those of us in the southern hemisphere, and with spring time comes new growth and baby animals – little lambs are so cute! So, our theme for this month is ‘baby’. (* not that you’d know here in south west WA – it’s pouring rain and has been most of the afternoon!)

I’ve gone with a straightforward take on today’s theme – a card to celebrate a new baby.

My card uses the Better Together stamp set. This set is retired, but it’s one I really like because not only does it have a great variety of sentiments for the front of cards, it has lovely sayings for inside with cute coordinating images!

I’ve used Mint Macaron and Smoky Slate inks and card, plus a Whisper White card layer.

The sentiment was made into the main focus of the card using the pretty Ornate Frames dies and Mint Macaron sheer linen ribbon. A handy hint for using your ribbon economically is to cut two small pieces and loop them at each end rather than using one long piece, where you don’t see most of it.

In keeping with the ‘baby’ theme here is a picture of one my babies – Miss 9. She helped me with my blog post today by doing some of the typing and she’s mastered inserting images! (You can read about why I need help here).
