This week the talented ladies from the JAI crew have been inspired by this gorgeous photo – you can see their lovely cards here. I decided to join the challenge when I saw all those pretty little pom poms. It meant I could ink up my new Scattered Dots Turnabout (TM) stamp from Concord & 9th.

Usually with inspiration challenges, I am quite literal with my interpretation and this time is no different! Some of the pom pom colours are reflected in my polka dot background, made using the Scattered Dots Turnabout (TM) stamp. I cut the trees and the curve for the ground using dies from In The Woods.

I sponged the trees and ground with Whisper White ink to soften the colour, and it looks a little bit like snow. The sentiment is from the cute (retired) Snow Place stamp set. A silver enamel star at the top of each tree added a shiny finishing touch.

The Turnabout style stamps use up to 4 different colours, and with so many colours in the pom pom trees it was hard to choose a combination for my card. I settled on Poppy Parade, Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay and Highland Heather.

What colours would you choose from the inspiration photo?
Are you a literal interpreter like me?
Thanks for visiting my blog!
