Sale-A-Bration | A Touch of Ombré

The new year is a fun time in the Stampin’ Up! calendar – it’s Sale-A-Bration!

What is Sale-A-Bration you ask? It’s when you get rewarded for shopping! For every $90 you spend you earn a free Sale-A-Bration item. This SAB season you can choose from pretty patterned paper or stunning stamp sets – see them all here in the digital brochure.

Today I’m sharing with you a range of cards I made using the Touch of Ink stamp set and Oh So Ombré patterned paper.

Touch of Ink stamp set – free when you spend $180
Oh So Ombré designer series paper – free when you spend $90

I made two cards in each of the colours in the patterned paper. Each card features a stitched rectangle of the paper, and a stitched circle with the stamped image and sentiment. The plain ombré paper was embossed using the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder.

Best Wishes – Bermuda Bay for the humming bird.

Thank you so much – Blackberry Bliss for the butterfly.

Hello friend – Granny Apple Green for the leaves.

Thinking of You – Rococo Rose for the flowers.

Each of the cards were finished with some ribbon and embellishments – all of which are retired.

So far, I’ve been reluctant to use pretty embellishments because once they’re gone I can’t get any more but there’s no point leaving them sitting in a packet. They need to be used and shared. One of my crafting goals for this year is to use the pretties!

Have you got any crafting goals? Are you an embellishment hoarder?

Have you got anything on your Stampin’ Up! wish list? Now is the perfect time to shop!!
