Social Stamping | In Colours

Hello! Are you happy it’s the weekend? I love the slower pace of weekends after a week of rushing to get kids off to school each morning.

Welcome to our latest Social Stamping blog hop. Continuing with themes based on the Stampin’ Up! colour families, this month we are showcasing IN COLOURS. You can click on the banner image above or here to go to Kelly’s post that lists everyone’s blog posts for today.

Through out the year, Stampin’ Up! has two sets of In Colours available. Each set is available for two years. Currently we have sets: 2019-2021 and 2020-2022. (The older set is retiring soon with a new set on the way on 4 May – the colours are gorgeous!!! As a demonstrator, I’ve already seen them – if you’d like that perk too it’s a great incentive to join Stampin’ Up!)

I’ve chosen the 2020-2022 set of In Colours for my project – Bumble Bee, Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight. That pink is so eye catching and looks stunning when stamped for flowers so I was please my Pretty Perennials bundle arrived this past week. (I know I’m slow to add this one to my collection!)

The card on the bottom right from the catalogue inspired the card I made to share today.

My card has a thick white base, Magenta Madness mat and then the images are stamped on white card. The large flowers are Magenta Madness with Misty Moonlight centres, the smaller flowers are Bumble Bee with Cinnamon Cider centres and the leaves are Just Jade. The sentiment is stamped in Misty Moonlight on a label from the Tasteful Labels dies. I couldn’t quite work out where to stamp ‘birthday’ so I added that on a small strip to be able to get placement just right.

I love the coordinating dies as they cut out the full stamped images but also have fine line shapes that add lovely texture and dimension.

I feel happy just looking at these colours – I’m glad we’ve got them for another year! If you’d like to make a card like this – join me at Cuppa & Cards this coming Monday. It’s the last one for Term 1.

Next up on the blog hop is Kelly – she gave me a hint about the colours she’s used – I can’t wait to see what Kelly’s made.

Thank you for visiting!

  1. I love this card Narelle, so bright and happy! Magenta Madness sure does add that pop of colour and I like that you have used Misty Moonlight for the centres of the flowers. Ryan said you were working on your blog today in true form right up until the 11th hour! Love your work x

  2. Lovely cards. These colours all work together so well with the flowers and leaves. I love the dimension on the flowers with the die cuts.

  3. Lovely happy card- the Magenta flowers just make me smile! I’m glad these colours are staying around, but I’m so sad this stamp set is retiring, it’s just so easy to use! I hope you enjoy the Easter school holidays and get a chance to slow down, and a little chance to craft!
