Happy Easter | Oval Occasions

Here we are at the end of Easter Monday and, in true eleventh hour fashion, I’m finally sharing my Easter cards. I hope, you’ve had a lovely Easter and the Easter bunny stopped by your place with lots of chocolate.

I made my cards using the Oval Occasions bundle, which is available in the January-June Mini Catalogue. The stamp set includes lots of lovely sentiments, as well as a cute little bunny image which is perfectly suited to an Easter themed card. Inspiration for my cards came from Lori Pinto at Lollypop Paper and Ink.

I made these cards for my Cuppa & Cards sessions. Each attendee gets a kit with all the pieces needed to make a card, including an envelope. Sometimes, like here, they get a choice of colour. These two samples show that you can get a different look just by changing up placement of card layers and sentiment even when you start with the same elements.

The card bases are thick Basic White, with a strip of (retired) Subtles patterned paper and a piece of coordinating card stock. The sentiment is from the Arrange A Wreath stamp set. It’s hard to see in the photo, but the card bases are embossed with the Subtle 3D folder to add some texture.

My daughter’s pick for her card was Highland Heather. (She’s a demonstrator in the making, knowing the names of all the Stampin’ Up! colours.) I used the hearts flourish stamp around the bunny image and some retired ribbon as a finishing touch. The hearts were also stamped on the front of the envelope and across the flap.

My son chose green, in this case Soft Sea Foam, for his card. I used stars for the flourishes on this card and envelope, and white twine to finish it off.

Cuppa & Cards sessions will be back for Term 2. With two public holidays across this term, I’m starting up in week 1, on Monday 19 April. Hope to see you there!

I hope you had a Happy Easter, tummy filled with chocolate and heart filled by time with family and friends.

Thanks for visiting!
