Darling Donkeys

Hello, today I’m sharing two cards I made for my very first Cuppa & Cards session (held at the start of term 1 and here we are already at school holidays!)

These ‘Darling Donkeys’ are the stars of a Sale-A-Bration stamp set, I got them for free after spending $90! (You can read here all about SAB.)

Alas, this set is no longer available (Sale-A-Bration ran for January and February). Not to worry though, SAB will be back for July and August!

I offered two choices of cards – the ladies who came along got to choose colour, layout and which donkey they liked.

Card bases are Smoky Slate. The donkeys are stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Smoky Slate with a bit of colour added using watercolour pencils. They’re fussy cut and adhered with dimensionals.

The Whisper White layer was coloured with blending brushes and the sentiments were stamped in Memento ink before being embossed using the Subtle 3D folder.

‘Hee Haw’ has a Coastal Cabana layer, with the same colour ink used for the blending. And the envelope was stamped with the same image in Coastal Cabana too.

‘Friend’ features Flirty Flamingo for the mat, blending and envelope image.

I chose these two colours as they are favourites of mine – can you guess which was preferred by the ladies who came to Cuppa & Cards?

If you like this layout but missed out on adding Darling Donkeys to your stash, you could use one of these sets: Hey Chick, Hot Dog, Snailed It, Zany Zebras, Way to Goat, Wildly Happy, Pampered Pets or Springtime Joy.

Watch this space for more information on the next Sale-A-Bration. ** This is your friendly reminder that if you see a set you love – get it while you can – FOMO is no fun.

Thanks for visiting.
