Hello and welcome to our latest Social Stamping blog hop. We are going away camping this weekend so I was glad to have a card already made and photographed that matched the theme – once less thing to get organised this week.
Continuing with themes based on the Stampin’ Up! colour families, this month we are showcasing NEUTRALS. You can click on the banner image above or here to go to our blog host, Kelly’s post that lists everyone who is joining in today.
My card is one I made for my brother, using the Whiskey Business stamp set. I’m pleased to say this set will be available in the new annual catalogue which starts on 4 May.
This card shape is called slim line, and I modified my dimensions to make the card front fit the stamped images. Each glass is stamped in one of the neutral colours using the Stamparatus (TM) and the hinge technique. This meant each glass was evenly spaced and lined up nicely. The card base is Basic Gray and some retired Night of Navy gross grain ribbon was the finishing touch – it’s ok to use ribbon on masculine cards!
Inside I stamped the sentiment from a favourite retired set – Perennial Birthday plus a matching tumbler.
The sentiment for the front is from Whiskey Business too, stamped in Soft Suede.
Next up is Lisa, who is super talented. I’m excited to see all the other projects being shared today – how many will be masculine themed based on the colour scheme??
Enjoy your long weekend, however you are spending it.
Thanks for visiting!
